Steve and Karen Nading started faming together when they bought their farm in 1982. Steve had been farming in some capacity since 1969, and Karen is a 4th generation farmer whose ancestors helped to settle the town of Hope, IN. Nading Farm is in Hope, which is near Columbus, Greensburg and Shelbyville. Additionally, Karen has taught for 43 years and continues to teach!

All products are grown on 2 acres plus a high tunnel. Steve and Karen are responsible for the majority of the work, although it is necessary to hire 1 or 2 part-time helpers to complete all of the tasks. Some of the products that Nading Farm offer are: whole hog sausage, brats, sausage patties, ribs, bacon, spinach, asparagus, sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, zucchini, strawberries, apples, sunflowers, gladiolas, and farm fresh cage free brown eggs.

Nading Farm has been a vendor with the Carmel Farmers Market for 17 of our 20 years! They originally decided to participate in farmers markets to set up college funds for their two daughters. It turned out to be a successful venture.

Their typical market day starts at 3:30 AM. Once the van is packed, they travel the 61 miles to our market. They usually return home about 3:00. Then it is time to unload, clean up and start watering the produce in the high tunnel.

Steve and Karen believe in supplying a fresh, high quality farm product from their family to yours.
