Welcome to Generations Pie Company LLC ”Where every pie tells a story.” Many of the products produced by Generations Pie Company credit the original baker and shares a bit of history with the customer including the famous Grannie Suk’s Sweet Potato Pie an over 100 year old recipe. I wanted to do something to honor those who have come before me. These pies were made with love to share with their families, friends and church circles. I wanted to bring the recipes back to life to share with others to create a “Fool for the Soul” experience.

Maria Johnson with over 30 years of baking experience, learned her pie-making skills from her grandmother Hattie Leota Overton Mann. Generations Pie Company LLC was started 4 years ago selling at various local farmers markets, event catering and online through our website Generationspie.co and Marketwagon.com

I graduated from Butler University with a Business Administration degree and an MBA from Anderson University. Although I worked as an accountant, I took the plunge and started this company in January of 2016, and it quickly became a hit!

Some items that you will find at our booth include: Hattie Leota’s Sweet Apple Pie, Winston’s Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie, Margaret’s Rhubarb Pie, Maria’s Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie, Sherry’s Cherry Pie, Peachie’s Peach Pie, Cinnamon Rolls, Pecan Sticky Buns, Sugar’s Cobblers and assorted Yvonne’s Sweet Breads!

Generations Pie Company was a new vendor at the Carmel Winter Market in 2018-19. This will be our first summer at the Carmel Summer Market. We look forward to bringing delicious pies made from scratch for our customers to enjoy!

It is with great pride and honor that I am able to share these delicious recipes from my past generations with you. I want to thank those who have paved the way for me. Most of all, I give honor to God for the blessings and talent bestowed upon me to make this venture possible.
