Andrea Bettini, the owner of Bettini Pasta, was born and raised in Mantua, Italy. Andrea worked alongside his mother, aiding in the preparation of classic Italian food. His background is in music, having earned a Masters Degree in piano; however, Andrea felt a very strong desire to start a fresh pasta business. After being introduced to the owners of Bluebeard, Andrea discovered his dreams and found great support and help with the Battistas. Bettini Pasta was begun in June of 2015. Andrea uses only authentic Italian recipes from his background to make fresh pasta daily. The business is located in Indianapolis.
Andrea and his team of four employees produce fresh pasta daily for markets and for distribution through Piazza Produce. They work on two individual machines and produce about 500 lbs. of product daily! Andrea’s philosophy is that one should never cut corners and that you have to think out of the box. He very much enjoys being at the Carmel Farmers Market to be able to connect with the public and to introduce Bettini pasta directly to the people. Bettini Pasta joined our market in October of 2018.
Bettini offers several types of fresh/frozen egg pasta. Some of their pastas include: ravioli (cheese, mushroom, spinach and pumpkin), spaghetti, fettucine, pappardelle, rigatoni and caserecce. They also sell 3 types of sauces. Andrea believes that by “keeping their hands in the process but using modern production methods”, they are able to produce large quantities of fresh artisan pasta.
